Brian and Kendl's Wedding

We traveled to Houston this weekend to attend Travis' friend's wedding. Brian and Travis lived down the road from each other and were best friends through high school. Travis was a groomsman in Brian's wedding this weekend, and Brian was marrying his high school sweetheart Kendl! It was a beautiful wedding and reception, and we both had a great time. Travis really enjoyed seeing all his friends from high school again, most of which he hasn't seen in over eight years! He was worried he wouldn't recognize them all, but he didn't have any trouble. We also enjoyed spending some time with Diane and Ted at the wedding!

Me and my handsome groomsman!!
(I couldn't decide which picture I liked better, so I just put both of them on here!)

Ted and Diane, both looking wonderful!

We spent the whole day on Sunday shopping!! I was so excited to be able to go into real stores that weren't HEB or Walmart. The shopping selection is a little limited here in Del Rio, so places like Old Navy, Target, and Academy were special treats while I was in Houston! (Travis patiently drove me every place I wanted to go and went into every store with me!) Then we drove the six hours back to Del Rio; Travis drove the first half, and then I drove the rest so he could study for the big test he had today. We made it all the way home before we realized that Travis had left his truck at the base, so we had to turn around and drive the 25 minutes back to the base from our house and then the 25 minutes back home again. We both struggled to get up this morning after only a few hours of sleep (we weren't in bed until 1am), but the extra time we spent shopping was well worth it!! (You know, if they just would build a Target here in Del Rio, I would be a happy camper....)

We both have incredibly busy weeks this week... The TAKS test is going on all week for me, and for Travis, not only is it a night week, but he is also going through a week long inspection at the base. (Basically, the entire base is getting inspected and reviewed to make sure everything is up to code, and all of the commanders are stressing out getting everything ready for this week!) My students are taking their Math TAKS test tomorrow (the whole goal of my entire year of teaching has been to get these students to pass this test....a lot is riding on the results of tomorrow!!) Please send them prayers and wishes of good luck!! I've done all I can do...it's up to them now. We'll have the results back in about three or four weeks. Travis is also working on several papers for his online classes, and I am working on a presentation and a paper for my class as well. So, it's going to be a long week, but once it's over, we'll both have a little more time on our hands!

Hope you have a wonderful week!!
